Brooklands Sports Club

Lockdown 2

Unfortunately, as a result of the move to a second national lockdown with effect from 5th November, the Club’s sporting facilities are to be shut down with effect from 10 pm on 4 November. This means there will be no sports activity (including group training) allowed on the ground.

The pedestrian gates on Whitehall Road will remain open to allow members to exercise on the ground. This is to be personal exercise only. No ball games will be permitted. Access will be restricted to daylight hours only on safety grounds. The gates will be open between 8 am and 4 pm.

Paul, our groundsman will remain at work during the lockdown in order to keep the facilities in good order. Members using the ground for exercise are asked to take heed of this and enable him to maintain the necessary social distancing whilst carrying out his duties.

The car park will remain closed during the lockdown period. Members using the ground arriving by car should park on Whitehall Road. Please do so considerately.

This is a difficult time for the Club and clearly disappointing for the members to be denied the opportunity to play their sports. Hopefully we will see better times after this four-week period and we can return to a more normal life at Brooklands. Until then, thank you in advance for your cooperation with the lockdown arrangements, and we hope that you all manage to stay safe and well over the next four weeks.
