Bar opening

We are pleased to be able to inform you that, following relaxation in the lockdown regulations by the Government, the Café Bar at the Club will be opening soon. Initially, due to access and security issues, this will be on a limited basis of Saturdays only until the Gym is able to open.

The bar will be open on Saturday 11 July from 11am to 9pm. The car park will remain open until 9.30pm.

There will be new operating procedures to comply with the regulations currently in force. Our bar manager, Paul, has managed to source the necessary plastic screening for the bar area and this will enable members to order drinks safely. Staff will be wearing face masks and there will be a one way system at the bar area for ordering, limited to only 2 people at a time. Toilet access will be limited to 'one in one out'. Sanitiser gel will be placed in convenient spaces inside the bar area. Inside tables will be spaced at least 2m apart, and staff will be wiping them down after use. Customers will need to fill in a form with contact details as per Government guidance.

This “new normal” will clearly be a different experience for us all, but I hope members will be reassured by these additional safety measures. If you are able to, we would ask you to please come down on Saturday and support Paul and his staff in their efforts to get things up and running again.
