The Endeavour Shield is awarded to the individual who has made the most outstanding contribution to the Club.  It generally recognises contribution to management and development of the club as a whole or a particular section.

2024: Dermot Regan

Dermot steered the Tennis Section through the difficult Covid years, helping the committee manage the comms, the changes, and the restrictions whilst optimising members' use of the facilities.  He managed the transiation from an incumbent Head Coach through recruitment, selection and onboarding of a new one.  He was the driving force behind the fundraising campaign of 2023, engaging with and encouraging members to get involved, and participating in all of the activities.

2023: Geoff Walton

Geoff has been a member of Brooklands Sports Club for over 35 years. He has been the driving force behind the squash section for a number of years now, developing a 10 year plan, running squash ladders and tournaments, and has successfully established and grown the new junior section. Very involved in the Open Day in 2022, Geoff also works hard to encourage others within the club to have a go at squash. He is President of the North West Counties Squash League as well as playing for both Brooklands and in England Squash masters events around the country. Known for his sense of humour, he writes hilarious match reports, always has an amusing story to tell and a magic trick up his sleeve.

2022: Dave Garnett

He is the Chairman of the Club, but his leadership through this unprecedented time for the Club has been priceless, in particular the immense effort and time he has invested in securing and negotiating the arrangements for a replacement tenant to secure the future of at least 50% of the Club’s funding stream going forward.
