Covid and subscriptions

The fee levels set out on our Membership page are our current subscription rates. However, due to the effects which Covid-19 has had on our ability to make our playing facilities available to members, the Club put in place an emergency arrangement based on pay-per-play for May - July inclusive. All members were asked to pay a flat £20 fee, plus £1 per hour per person when playing bowls, cricket or tennis.

Beyond July, summer sport members (primary sports Cricket, Tennis or Bowls) will be asked to pay 50% of the usual annual subscription to cover the period May 2020-May 2021 with the remainder collected in 3 instalments by Direct Debit in August, September and October 2020. The pay to play arrangement will cease with effect from 1 August 2020.

This means those members who have already paid £20 will pay their normal subscription, less 50%, less £20. For example, a single member would pay:

£214 less 50% = £107

£107 less £20 = £87

£87 / 3 = £29 in each of August, September and October

If you wish to join the Club as a cricket, bowls or tennis member, this arrangement will apply to you in place of normal subscriptions. Please note that new members will not receive an additional 50% discount this season; they will be subject to the arrangement set out above.
